A timeless place, where it is good to relax
The 4* Hotel
Let yourself be guided by the vines, far from the tumult of daily life, in a small village perched on a Roman oppidum in the Gers countryside. It is there, in a former monastery overlooking the vineyards of Saint-Mont and the Adour, that Béatrice and Jean-Paul Tossens set down their suitcases. This monastery steeped in history became a charming 4-star hotel and gourmet restaurant in 2019, with chef Jean-Paul Tossens in the kitchen, and his wife Béatrice who runs the room with elegance and discretion.
Staying at the Monastery is like taking a leap in time, immersing yourself in a unique place with energies conducive to relaxation. At the Monastery, time seems to pass more slowly. We take the time to do nothing, and take care of ourselves, to immerse ourselves in a book on a super comfortable sofa in the living room, to enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, and to be pampered at the spa. In the evening, put your feet under the table and embark on a taste journey to La Table by Jean-Paul Tossens. After the meal, there is only one thing left to do: immerse yourself in our Armagnac menu, rich in around a hundred references all served by the glass.
This is what staying at the Monastery of Saint-Mont is all about. It's feeling at home without the constraints of daily life, and simply enjoying a moment just for you.
History
A place with a rich past
It was around 1045 that the Monastery was founded by Raymond, lord of Saint-Mont. Listed as a Historic Monument, it was attached to the order of Clugny in 1055. Many times looted, burned, rebuilt, it found its current form since 1764. And after a final phase of work it became a 4-star hotel, gourmet restaurant, and a spa in 2019.
